Meet Our Founders

Janet Blazer
Co-Founder, Product Development & Innovation
Janet’s entrepreneurial spirit began early. At age 27 she opened The Pasta & Cheese Shop in Atlanta, becoming one of the first to introduce fresh pasta to the city in 1980. Her path later led her to co-create Harry's Farmers Market with her husband, Harry Blazer - a groundbreaking concept of 100,000-square-foot markets devoted entirely to perishables.
She traveled the world with Harry, studying markets, exploring new food concepts, sourcing equipment, and discovering products that sparked inspiration. Her creations became known for their made-from-scratch quality and their artisan feel - crafted through inventive processes that mimicked handmade methods at scale.
Throughout her career, Janet has been driven by a unique creative philosophy: “I know what I’m seeing - what am I not seeing?” Her creations were crafted through inventive processes that mimicked handmade methods at scale. This mindset shaped her approach to product innovation.
FLUTESPOON was born from that same instinct. Janet noticed a gap - an opportunity hiding in plain sight. Nothing like it existed on the market, and she immediately imagined how it could be designed, produced, and shared with the world. The idea aligned with her core belief: people crave products that delight them, surprise them, and elevate everyday experiences in a way they didn’t expect.
“I want customers to be surprised when they open the package and delighted when they see FLUTESPOON in restaurants and celebration venues. FLUTESPOON elevates the moment with intention without words."

Jill Hans
Co-Founder, Vision & Brand Strategy
With a career in international marketing and sales spanning Germany, Europe, and South Africa, Jill brings a refined global perspective to FLUTESPOON. She began her professional journey at Daimler-Benz AG in Stuttgart, where she was immersed in the world of luxury brand strategy and global product positioning. She later built an international sales career working across multiple markets and cultures.
A lifelong lover of hosting and beautiful presentation, Jill has always been drawn to the small, unexpected touches that make people light up. She often found herself wondering, “Why isn’t there a way to pair a sip of champagne with one perfect bite?” She envisioned something refined yet effortless - clever yet simple, luxurious yet functional.
Her experience in global branding, design sensibility, and storytelling helped shape FLUTESPOON’s balance of sophistication and simplicity. Jill has an instinct for objects that feel timeless, elegant, and intuitive - qualities she set out to capture in this one-of-a-kind celebration accessory.
Creating FLUTESPOON alongside her sister allowed Jill to merge her love of entertaining with her passion for thoughtful design. Together, they created a product that honors connection, elevates the moment, and celebrates the idea that the most memorable experiences are often shaped by the smallest details.
“When someone opens a FLUTESPOON box, I want them to feel a moment of delight - like they’ve discovered something special, meant for their most meaningful occasions. It should feel like it always belonged there.”
